Winter Wheat Condition Mid November – 11/15/21

Published by David Tedrow on

The USDA reported 81% of the US winter wheat crop had emerged by mid November which is close to the historical average. USDA rated 46% of the crop in good or excellent condition as of November 14, 2021 which is below the historical trend line based on the crop years ending  1989 through  2021. The crop is close enough to average to still make a big crop next spring provided weather conditions through May 2022 are favorable. The March/April period is especially critical.
