US Corn Production Outlook- 07/11/2022

Published by David Tedrow on

USDA rated 64%  of the US corn crop in good or excellent condition as of July 10, compared to the average 67% rating  in the second week of July in the years  1985 through 2021. A rating of 64% is associated with a national average corn yield of 177 bushels per harvested acre which is equal to the USDA’s June projection. The USDA is scheduled to release an updated corn production forecast on July 12. USDA probably will not change the current yield forecast, but will incorporate the slightly larger acre estimate derived in the June Acreage Survey.
