Soybean Crop on 06/29/2020
USDA rated 71% of the US Soybean crop in good or excellent condition as of June 29 which compares to the 1988 through 2019 average 61%. Our study projects a yield of 50 bushels per acre which is still off from the previous record 52 bushels. The study has a standard error of 2.3 bushels per harvested acre. The USDA has projected the average soybean national yield at 49.8 bushels per harvested acre.
The soybean crop has the potential to exceed the previous record, but the heart of the growing season is the six weeks between early July and mid August.
