December Hog Inventory may have Dropped sharply over the Autumn Quarter. 11/30/2020

We estimate the  US hog Inventory on December 1 at 76 million head, down from 78 million  on September 1, 2020 and 79 million head a year ago. Our estimate assumes farmers stuck  with plans expressed in the September, 2020  farrowing survey. The December Hogs and Pigs report is scheduled for release December 23, 2020.
